Greenland

Highlights

It is the world's largest island, spanning over 2.1 million square kilometers

Greenland is a huge island with many small towns and natural attractions that are worth visiting. Some of the most beautiful places to visit in Greenland are Nuuk, Ilulissat Icefjord, Quasigiannguit, Point 660 at the Ice Sheet, and the church ruin of Hvalsey. There are also three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Greenland: the area around the Icefjord at Ilulissat, the Inuit hunting area of Aasivissuit-Nipisat, and the Inuit and Norse ruins in South Greenland. Hiking through the Sermermiut Valley and seeing the playful whales are some of the activities that travelers can enjoy in Greenland.
