Baur au Lac

The magnificent Baur au Lac hotel is more than 175 years old and is still in the hands of the same owner family. Opened in 1844 by Johannes Baur, it was built right beside the lake with a view of the Alps.

Set in its own picturesque park on the lakeshore, the Baur au Lac is only a few minutes’ walk from Zurich’s financial district and the world-famous Bahnhofstrasse shopping street.
