"The Vietnamese see their history as an unending series of struggles of resistance to aggression"
4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS
Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi – My Tho
Vietnam is a long, narrow nation shaped like the letter s. It is in Southeast Asia on the eastern edge of the peninsula known as Indochina. Its neighbors include China to the north and Laos and Cambodia to the west. The South China Sea lies to the east and south.
- Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam with a population of 8.4 million. It is located in the south of Vietnam and is at the core centre of Ho Chi Minh City Metropolitan Area, which has a population that exceeds 20 million, 16 million of whom live in urban areas.
- Cu Chi: Although the Cu Chi tunnels are famous for their decisive role in the America-Vietnam war, construction of the tunnels began in the 1940s during the Indochina War. The placement and the complexity of the tunnel’s design gave the Viet Cong troops enough of an advantage over the US troops to win the war.
- My Tho: My Tho, city in the flat Mekong River delta region of southern Vietnam. An inland port on the north bank of the My Tho River, it is directly linked by highway to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), 45 miles (72 km) to the northeast.
